Lawson is a sprawling subdivision that started around 2005 with past builders including Shea, Orleans, Pulte, Ryland, St Lawrence, Ryan and DR Horton. The public schools that most neighborhood children currently attend are New Town Elementary, Cuthbertson Middle, and Cuthbertson High School. Amenities include a community pool, clubhouse, walking trails, fitness room, playground, and tennis courts. The neighborhood is building an additional pool on the new north side of the development. HOA fees are approximately $688/year up to approximately $1408/year (includes lawn maintenance) for the Southern Trail section designed for active adults and seniors. New Construction:
Lennar is currently building on the new side of the community located north of Cuthbertson Road. This section will have children zoned for Waxhaw Elementary but older children will still attend Cuthbertson Middle and High Schools. Lennar is offering around 6 floor plans including some with basements available. Prices currently start in the lower $300’s and home sizes start around 2,500 square feet. Lennar will be building a new model soon and the current Jamison model will be sold.
Mattamy Homes just released plans and pricing for their lots in Lawson. Their model home, The Vanderbilt, is now open. There are currently 5 floor plans being offered by Mattamy and those range from around 3,600 square feet to over 5,000 square feet with additions like the guest suite and bonus rooms. Prices start as low as $647,990 for the Wescott, a ranch style plan with a bonus room and 4th bedroom upstairs.
