McAdenville is Christmas Town USA

A great holiday tradition around Charlotte is driving through the thousands of lights in McAdenville.  This year they have a new mobile app to help you out with driving routes, points of interest, and the history of Christmas Town USA that was created with the support of Pharr Yarns.  A slow ride through the quaint town filled with sparkling lights and plenty of oohs and ahhs is not to be missed in its 57th year!

McAdenville is located in Gaston County, NC along I-85 South of Charlotte. Check here for directions.  You can drive through the two-mile display in the comfort of your car .  Remember that lines can be long (especially on weekends) so plan at least 45 minutes to drive through.  If you prefer to walk, there are free parking lots available behind McAdenville Baptist Church, Village restaurant, and next to the lake.  The very merry can even take a hayride through town!  Lights go off automatically at 9:30pm Monday – Friday and 11pm on Saturday and Sunday nights so plan your trip accordingly.

Please add a comment if you have other suggestions for the best lights around Charlotte.  Merry Christmas!
