Union Power Cooperative released a letter to area property owners on October 30, 2014 indicating the possible routes for the new 100kV transmission line. The various routes give them 59 total options for this line. Community workshop is scheduled for November 13, 2014 at Weddington United Methodist between 4-7:30pm. Map is below…
Union Power will host a community workshop on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. at Weddington United Methodist Church to discuss the proposed Weddington-Marvin 100 kV transmission line. This new line will be added to connect the substations in Weddington and Marvin/Waxhaw. All residents in this area are encouraged to attend as this line is considered an essential service and will be going in somewhere.
