Highgate is an upscale neighborhood located just inside the Union county line at Providence and Hemby Roads.  This quiet subdivision features custom homes on large lots with plenty of trees and a welcoming entry street. The homes vary in style and architecture from traditional brick to European to Mediterranean. The first homes started in HighGate around 2000 but there are a limited number of lots still available for buyers looking to build their own custom home. Builders have included Harrington, Robinette, and MacNeil.
The homes in this neighborhood range in price from the mid-700’s to over $2 million, with most averaging over $1  million.  The square footage of these homes vary anywhere from 3,000 square feet to over 11,000 square feet. In addition, HighGate boasts a pond and walking trails around the neighborhood.  The HOA dues are approximately $875 annually.
Children who live in Highgate are currently zoned for Antioch Elementary School, Weddington Middle School, and Weddington High School.
