Anklin Forrest is located in Waxhaw across from the back entrance to Quellin and just up from the new St Matthews South Campus. This neighborhood began around 2006 with custom homes from builders like James Custom Homes. After the downturn hit, construction started back up again around 2011 with Essex Homes. This subdivision is serviced by county water and sewer. Square footage starts just over 2,200 square feet and goes up to over 4,000 square feet and lots range from ¼ acre up to around ½ acre. Prices generally range in the $400’s up to the lower $500’s.
The community has an amenity center including a swimming pool with splash area, pool house, and covered outdoor eating area with a fireplace. Homeowners’ association dues are currently around $612 per year. Students attend Kensington Elementary, Cuthbertson Middle, and Cuthbertson High School for the 2015-2016 school year.
