Walnut Creek is a large, sprawling master planned community located just over the state line beyond Waxhaw and MillBridge. This subdivision has opportunities for a wide variety of living options including townhomes, smaller ranch style homes, and larger single family homes. Plentiful neighborhood amenities tie the community together – a resident clubhouse, fitness center, junior olympic sized pool, splash area, playgrounds, walking trails, and ponds. Adjacent to the subdivision is the Lancaster county park with multiple sports facilities including soccer fields, baseball/softball fields, tennis and pickle ball courts, all linked by walking trails for easy access.
Prices here vary as much as the housing styles. Generally they start from the $200’s and go up to around the $500’s. Homeowners fees are different based on any extra services like lawn maintenance included but are currently around $525 up to $1355 yearly. The subdivision is divided up into smaller sections and these areas are distinguished by individual signs to make navigating easier. Below are a few of those areas:
The Parks – DR Horton offers 4 different floor plans of townhomes ranging from 2200-2400 square feet and the prices start from the low $200’s.
The Ridge – 7 floor plans ranging from 1900 to over 3200 square feet with prices starting from the $240’s.
The Bluffs – Small enclave of 19 homes. 7 floor plans with ranch and two-story homes from 2100 to over 4300 square feet with prices starting from the $270’s.
The Greens – New section with two-story homes by DR Horton from 2500 to 3000 square feet.
The Villages – Eastwood Homes offers 15 floor plans ranging from 1700 to over 3400 square feet and includes ranches, two-story, and three-story plans starting from the $260’s.
The Orchard – Smith Douglas Homes offers 4 floor plans ranging from 2100-2500 square feet with prices starting from the $220’s.
The Overlook – This is the east side of the subdivision off Jim Wilson Road next to MillBridge. This was the first section started back around 2007 with builders that included Ryland, Standard Pacific, Bonterra, DR Horton. Pulte, and Lennar.
