Rea Farms is a new multi-purpose development now under construction on 194 acres at the corner of Providence and Ardrey Kell Roads. This is the site of the old Golf Links course which will be transformed into office and retail space, hotel, restaurants, housing, a day-care center, parking garages, a large village green, and a new magnet school. The new K-8 STEAM magnet school will be situated on 10 acres within the development. There is also now a huge Life Time Fitness open on 24 acres, which includes everything from indoor tennis and swimming to a spa, bar, and cafe.
Other interesting tenants include the new 76,000-square foot Harris Teeter prototype store, which replaced the old store at Rea Village. The Links is an upcoming luxury apartment community with a pool, coffee bar, and dog park. For the senior set, Overture will be offering 55+ apartment rentals with special amenities including elevator access, lounge, nail and hair salon, and heated swimming pool.
Lennar (formerly CalAtlantic) is building both single-family detached homes and attached town homes in the Rea Farms development. Single-family homes range from the high $400’s to $500’s. These homes have either rear-load or front-load garages depending on the lot. The new town homes are starting from around $300,000 to the $340’s. They will feature either two or three floors with a detached single-car garage or attached two-car garage (depending on the plan). There is a master down plan available. View the town home options here.
Homeowners’ dues are around $675 per year for detached homes and $155 per month for the town homes, which include lawn maintenance. There is no resident pool, but it is a short walk to LifeTime.
Rea Farms’ residents will be zoned to attend Polo Ridge Elementary, Jay M. Robinson Middle, and Ardrey Kell High Schools for the 2018-2019 school year. Contact buyer’s agent Nancy at (704)577-0023 as your local new construction expert to stay informed of the latest news!
