Providence Woods South was established around the 1980’s for buyers looking for large lots close to Charlotte. This neighborhood is conveniently located in Union county featuring low tax rates and highly rated schools, however it is just across the Mecklenburg border and close to Matthews and Charlotte. The homes are predominantly traditional full brick on lots of 1 acre to 3 acres in size with some variety including stucco, tudors, or colonials. The interiors can range from around 2,400 square feet to over 5,000 square feet with some homes having basements.
Homeowners dues are around $290 per year and there is a recreation area and playground in the community. Home prices vary considerably based on the condition and updating of the property, but generally range anywhere from the $300’s to the $600’s.
School-aged children in the neighborhood are currently zoned for Antioch Elementary, Weddington Middle, and Weddington High Schools for the 2018-2019 school year.
