There are a number of traditional subdivisions in Weddington with full brick homes on an acre or more. These are the types of neighborhoods that gained popularity among new families moving to Weddington in the 1980’s to 1990’s with their privacy, large lots, and wooded home sites. These subdivisions remain popular today for buyers looking for a location close to the schools with privacy and trees that you can not get for the same price in a new construction home. There are no neighborhood amenities in most of these subdivisions but HOA fees are lower and many residents join the Weddington Swim & Racquet Club or a nearby country club for tennis and pool access. Most of these subdivisions are connected to county water and have individual septic systems. Below is a little more information on and photos of some of these neighborhoods.
